Utwór został wykorzystany w trzech odcinkach serialu Życie w Hollyoaks, a także w filmie Wild Child. Zbuntowana księżniczka czy w końcu w serialu młodzieżowym 90210. 7 grudnia 2007 roku Adele zaśpiewała ten utwór w programie Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. Natomiast 18 października 2008 roku, razem z "Cold Shoulder", w Saturday Night Live. Lewa strona singla "That's It. I Quit. I'm Movin' On." jest coverem piosenki Sama Cooke'a w wersji akustycznej. Utwór jest pierwszą piosenką Adele, która pojawiła się w prestiżowej liście Billboard Hot 100. Do kwietnia 2011 roku singel sprzedał się w ilości 986 tys. kopii.
"Chasing Pavements" wygrał nagrodę Grammy w kategorii Najlepszy żeński występ pop. Poza tym był nominowany w kategorii Nagranie Roku oraz Piosenka Roku.

Tym typem głosu władała również Etta James wokalistka bluesowa, będąca inspiracją Adele. Wibrujący głos, przeszywający na wskroś słuchaczy, z pięknymi dołami i świdrującymi górami, z wspaniałą umiejętnością koloratury, dzięki której Adele bez wysiłku wykonuje ozdobniki wszelkiego rodzaju, ujawniające się m.in. w balladzie Daydreamer.

W 2008 roku Adele wykonała cover utworu Boba Dylana. Adele nagrała ten utwór na prośbę swojego managera Jonathana Dickinsa. Piosenka znalazła się na debiutanckim albumie artystki. 3 listopada 2008 roku utwór został wydany na singlu jako piąty i zarazem ostatni z 19. Szybko wspiął się na miejsce 26 listy UK Singles Chart.
Piosenka została użyta w serialu Waterloo Road, a także Pogoda na miłość, Zaklinacz dusz, Parenthood czy Against the Wall. 21 kwietnia 2011 utwór został użyty w serialu Życie w Hollyoaks, natomiast 7 lipca tego samego roku w odcinku finałowym serialu Kości i EastEnders.
Po wydaniu singel zajął miejsce 26 na irlandzkiej liście Irish Singles Chart, jednak po wyemitowaniu jednego z odcinków X-Factor, 1 października 2010 roku utwór wrócił na miejsce 8, by ostatecznie zająć miejsce 5.
9 sierpnia 2011 roku w Vancouver, podczas drugiej trasy koncertowej, Adele zadedykowała ten utwór zmarłej 23 lipca Amy Winehouse; był to bowiem pierwszy koncert Adele po śmierci Winehouse.

Someone Like You – drugi singel brytyjskiej wokalistki Adele z jej drugiego albumu studyjnego zatytułowanego 21. Został wydany 24 stycznia 2011 roku, napisany jest przez wokalistkę oraz Dana Wilsona. Utwór został zainspirowany przeżyciami Adele. W wersji tekstowej piosenkarka opowiada o tym, że pogodziła się z zaistniałą sytuacją i zerwanymi więziami.
Adele zaśpiewała tę piosenkę na gali Brit Awards 2011. Po występie utwór otrzymał uznanie krytyków muzycznych i osiągnął pierwsze miejsce na listach w Wielkiej Brytanii, zajmując je najdłużej z utworów z ostatnich dziesięciu lat. Również w Irlandii utwór spędził na pierwszym miejscu sześć tygodni, co było rekordem w 2011 roku. Singel pojawił się na pierwszym miejscu także w Australii i Nowej Zelandii. Za ten singel artystka odebrała nagrodę Grammy 2012 w kategorii Najlepsze solowe wykonanie Pop.
